Overview

Langtang Valley Trek offers one of the most beautiful and accessible trekking experiences in Nepal. The trek lies north of Kathmandu and leads into the scenic Langtang Region. This trekking route passes through forests, traditional Tamang villages, and alpine landscapes surrounded by snow-covered Himalayan peaks.

The trail enters the protected Langtang National Park. The park preserves diverse ecosystems including rhododendron forests, bamboo groves, alpine meadows, and glaciers. Wildlife such as Himalayan tahr, musk deer, and red panda inhabit the region.

Langtang Valley Trek leads toward the traditional settlement of Kyanjin Gompa which sits beneath towering mountains including Langtang Lirung. Trekkers can explore nearby viewpoints such as Kyanjin Ri and Tserko Ri for panoramic Himalayan scenery.

This trek provides a combination of mountain views, local culture, and relatively moderate trekking difficulty. The short distance from Kathmandu makes it one of the most popular trekking routes in Nepal.

Arrival in Kathmandu

Drive Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

Scenic drive north from Kathmandu through mountain roads and river valleys toward Syabrubesi which serves as the starting point of the trek.

Day 3

Trek Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

The trail follows the Langtang River through forests of bamboo and rhododendron while crossing suspension bridges and small villages.

Trek Lama Hotel to Langtang Village
